Another headers question

I was thinking about getting headers soon but I have a couple of questions. I definetely want shorties. I just don't know exactly what kind to get. I need headers that will be fairly easy to install, since I will be doing this in my driveway. I need the AIR tube hook ups also. I would rather have them come to me coated if at all possible so that I dont have to ship them somewhere else after I get them. Which ones fit this description and where can I get them? Also do they come with a y-pipe and just bolt up to the exhuast. THanks

I was seriously thinking about those, but after shipping, coating, installation kit and everything it would come out to be around $700 and that isn't including installation if I need to. Is there anything that makes those better then the rest of the other brands?

Oh yeah, if they are stainless steal do they need to be coated? will they turn blue?

i dunno if they will turn blue, never heard of it but i guess they could. i wouldnt bother getting them coated unless you really like the looks of it. the stainless will protect them. noncoated headers and install kit should be about 440 dollars total plus shipping from SLP. they are a bit expensive, but some people will swear by them

Hooker also makes some good headers
good luck!

for what its worth, i plan on gettting the SLP's if i decide that the Hooker long tubes will give up too much ground clearance.

The ones that I am looking at 1 5/8 are $499 without install kit and shipping. Which ones are you looking at?

Thanks

http://www.slponline.com/view_produc...RTNUMBER=30005

with this install kit:

http://www.slponline.com/view_produc...RTNUMBER=30043

total of 445 dollars plus shipping. add a C to the part number for coated and it jumps to astronomical prices, thats why im not gonna coat them.

if you decide on the slp's soon, there is a group purchase where you can save 10 percent, but i think you have to be in it by tonight (tomorrow i guess really) here is a link.

good luck!
keep asking questions if you have 'em. i might not be able to answer but im sure someone could.

The 1 3/4" with AIR tubes are $499, P/N 30001. We currently have a GP on SLP headers going with Thunder Racing...get in on it!! Read the sticky about 4 threads above.

Let me know if you want in.
