CatBack + Headers....

I have a 91 Z28 350. I want to get rid of my exhaust setup that I have right now and want to get the Hooker Cat-Back with the Aero0Chamber muffler. Are the tailpipes single exit each side or is it dual exit each side. I really want it to have single exit on each side. Whats the part # for the cat back and how much does it cost? I also might get headers, I would like to get hooker headers just dont know what size to get. I want to get the cheapest ones hookers got. Can some one tell me the diameter I should get, price and part # preferibly for summit. If I get the headers, can I still leave the stock Y-Pipe on? Will everything work fine?

The tailpipes are dual tips on both sides. It looks good though. There are I believe 3 different part #'s for the cat-back, I just ordered the cheapest one $200 and had an exhaust shop weld it on.

Hey Mark, do you know the difference between the Hooker cat-back thats 200.00 and the one thats like 270.00? I know the one is for the 305, and the others for the h.o. 305. How would you compare the sound of the aerochamber to other mufflers? I've heard so much good about Hooker, it doesnt sound like you can go wrong. Thanks.

The only difference between the different Hooker's is the way it bolts up to the cat, but I just got the cheap one and had it welded on. The system is a 3" and I haven't noticed it getting louder, but I only drive the car like 2 times a week at college. If definately sounds awesome, there is a sound clip of it in a recent post. If I had to do over again I wouldn't go any other way.

Where did you get it for $200, and I have a 350 and I checked holley.com and did not see a system that would fit on a 350. I also have two cat system. What about the headers?

www.jegs.com for the Hooker #520-16822, This is the $200 one and will have to be welded on most likely. As far as the headers go, I don't have any experience with the Hooker headers, sorry.

Did your exhaust get any louder? How would you describe the sound?
