is there any other alternatives to welding on my muffler?
i am going to be putting on a flowmaster muffler soon, its the 80 series and its used and it has been welded so how can i put it on my car? is there any way i will be able to clamp it? maybe a coupler? or will i have to break down and have to welded on? if this is my only option about how much would a shop charge to do this? its 2 1/2 inlet and outlet because i stil have the stock i pipe. thanks

take it to a muffler shop and tell them look, u bought the muffler used and wanna just replace the muffler, and they will more then likely weld it on for ya. just call around

Yea, you can get exhaust clamps. Just go to a parts store and ask for them.

well, i need my cat removed and a strait pipe welded on and i have a friend that has a muffler shop that will do it for me. my muffler will have to be cut off, and since this new muffler is used and was previously welded on it will have to be welded on as well, how much should i be looking to pay to have the cat removes and a strait pipe welded on, my muffler cut off and my new muffler and tailpipes and tips welded on? im hoping between 25-30 bucks but he will probably give me a descent discount

wow, 40 for just the tips, did that include the price of tips? he said he will probably put both of mine on for around 5 bucks since i already have them boughten. the muffler will be the most since he has to cut off the old muffler too. if its too much ill cut off my muffler myself and take it to a good welder and have him do it for me

no that was for the int pipes, pipe bending, welds and clamps, plus $40 for the 2 tips, they used to have good prices, now they dont, he wanted $350 for a flowmaster muffler and the tips, even when his ad on the counter said duals for your car or light truck $199, the ad included the flowmater muffler, a 2 1/2" cat back pipe, 2 new int pipes 2 1/2" to 30"x3" tips..such a rip off for my 2 tips
