Good flowing Cat?
Gah I put in my password and they say "not all forms filled out" then erase my post!
Anyway... I just bought some Hooker Super Comp Shorties with Y-Pipe all coated by Jet-Hot.com so I'm pretty happy about that
With the headers I decided that an 18 year old Catalytic Converter won't cut it. I need a good open flowing 3" cat. I was thinking Random Tech because I can't weld and I don't want to have to go get it installed anywhere and pay $50 for 2 minutes work. Since Random Tech is bolt on it's my first choice, but I was wondering if there was anything cheaper? The headers took a big bite out of my bank account, so the $300 or so for a random tech might be a bit much, but are they the best? I want the best, and I heard that's what they are, so that might be the one for me. Anyway someone help me make up my mind, or give me some options if you would be so kind. I need a new cat but I just don't know which to get.
Thanks for your help,
Paul

I am thinking of a Catco because summit has them for 59.99 & I got a 10% off coupon.

Jeez Dasturdlee..over 230K miles on that motor!? I'd consider a new crate engine, rather than worry about a new cat :P

Actually its over 330, but whos counting? I need to pass emissions by March, I failed yesterday. I already have a new engine (427) rebuilt from a wrecked Vette, but I dont want to drop it.... yet!
All that power would be too much for bad weather, and its the only vehicle I have.
