ok how does this sound with my ****, I ahve two ideas.
(#1) Hooker Headers, "true dual exhasut" 3 inch tubing, 2 high-flow cats or gutted, and 2 Flowmaster 40 or Spintechs behind the cats with 2 3inch diameter 1 foot echo tips.
(#2) Hooker Headers, 3 inch tubing, high-flow cat or gutted cat, and Flowmaster or Hooker Cat-Back, with 3 inch diameter 1 foot echo tips.
Any suggestions, is the 3 inch tubing too much, would it not give me enough back-pressure? I need this cat to pur loud and aggressive yet still run like it sounds.

too big for the lg4. It might sound nice but the exaust scavaging effect will be crap. Forget about back pressure. You don't need or want backpressure. You want the right size pipe to help your exaust scavange.

That dual 3 inch will definately be too much, but the single 3 inch might be an ok idea if you plan future mods. I would go with the Hooker cat-back if you plan on a cat-back.

What Hooker headers are you considering getting?
Generally speaking, 1-1/2" primary long-tube headers are fine for a 305 or torquey 350. For a 350 that will rev a little, you want 1-5/8" primary long tubes.
For your typical shorties, the picture changes a little. Since the primaries aren't "tuned" length-wise, the issue becomes flow. Now, you're looking at 1-5/8" primaries for a 305 or torquey 350, 1-3/4" primaries for a rev'n 350.
Unless you do more to that 305, 1-1/2" primary shorty headers would do fine. Get it spinning a bit more, you'll probably want 1-5/8".
So, what Hooker headers were you considering getting?
Oh, lose the echo tips.
