all hooker 2460 owners inside

after hours of SEARCHING, I get the same answer. There is no y-pipe for these headers. you have to get a custom built pipe for a fortune. I do not believe this

Of all the 2460 owners out there, and there must be hundreds, did all of you get custom made pipes.
-the stock pipe won't fit
-the 2055 y-pipe won't fit
-I don't think any other brand fits

SO WHAT HAVE ALL YOU OWNERS DONE?

I'm going to be getting mine from Jet Hot ($329.00) but I have to wait 2-3 weeks since they have none in stock. I am going to order Flowmasters universal single 2.5" tail pipe kit and the flowmaster 2 into 1 pipe (2.5" 's into 3") and either make my own with the mig welder or just take it up to the muffler shop and let them do it useing the old factory one for shape. The tail pipe kit is only about $65.00 and the y pipe is about $35.00, and a shop here would only charge about $20.00 since the bends are already there. Most people don't see these kits listed in jegs because they are usually small. It is four pieces of mandrel bent pipe (J's and 90 degree)with a decent amount of length at the ends. If you want to, buy the tail pipe kit and Y pipe then take it up to a shop after cutting it in the certain places useing an old stock piece as your guide and have a shop expand ,slip fit, and weld them (don't forget to buy your reducers). Go around and ask some shops what they would charge you, if you brought YOUR pipe up there already bent/cut and all they had to do is weld it up for ya. Don't be surprised if you get the "Uhhhhhh, dat caint be dunn kid" from Jethro's muffler shop, many are reluctant to do it. Just go ask first, and you might find out you will save some cash instead of haveing someone "custom make " you one for say $300.00-$500.00. If anyone quotes that much just walk off laughing..........and then go try Cooter's muffler shop down the street.

We have coated Hooker 2460s for sale right now at $248.00. Jethot is way overpriced on those. Im sure you can find something else to spend the money you save on. http://dhamil.home.texas.net/hooker2460.jpg Shipping is $12 to $17 in 48 states. http://dhamil.home.texas.net/hooker2460set.jpg I put in a link for 2 pics the first is a regular set of our coated 2460, the second pic is of the set I put on my 91 GTA with the air inj tubes I added and the custom Y pipe that I tig welded up , I bought the 2.5 and 3 in mandrell bends for it. Prices on coated Hedman 68460- $258.00. Coated 68470-$238.00 , Coated Flowtech 11102- $228.00 . Y pipes for the 68470 or flowtech are $95.00 plain or $60.00 more coated. We will weld in O2 bungs on any header you need them on, 2460 already have one on lt side. Also I have sent numerous emails to this site administrator trying to get a banner ad up with zero response. We have sold headers to several members on this board including TBI moderator snufilupigus - spelling? Anyway Have a good one, Dave at American Coating Specialties 1329 South Houston Ave., Humble, Texas 77338 Ph 281-446-6203
