True Duel....is it possible
I got rear ended last night and since I have to replace the exhaust I was wondering If I could put TRUE duel exhaust in it? With two cat converters, two mufflers or one. So can you do this or not?
True duals are possible. I have hooker shorties going into flowmaster 2 chamber mufflers and then the pipes exit in front the rear tires on both sides. No cats, no A.I.R., no smog pump, no trouble codes. Clearance is a problem if you go too fast over a speed bump or you have a driveway that is a little too steep and then suddenly flattens out. Freeway driving is actually pretty quiet from inside the car although my son was behind me and said he could hear the exhaust even with the windows on his 68 Camaro up and his a/c on. He said it really got loud when I accelerated to pass a slower car. I like the sound though. Sounds like American V8 Muscle coming at you. By the way, the car is a 1991 Z28, L98 engine.

True duals consisting of a pair of cats, a crossover, a pair of polished 1969 Z28 chambered mufflers positioned in the stock location and out through chromed '94 Z28 tips. Here's a teaser pic:
