In my opinion any aftermarket exhaust is a cop attracter, but you should be good as long as you run it a decent length (to the axle). My only question is how are you fitting two full size chambered mufflers under a thirdgen?

*cough* BFH *cough* lol I know some people have pounded up their rear seat positions to fit them, but I went with bullets because I dont like beating up on the car like that.

I put my mufflers (aerochambers) under the floorpans up front. One's right under my feet, and the other is where the stock convertor should be. I then have pipes running out the side that exit before the rear wheels. Ground clearance is pretty good too considering it is true duals. This summer I'm changing it though, Hedman longtubes and bullet mufflers.

I dont know about compared to flows, but they are not as loud as I expected after hearing the car with open headers. I didnt think that they were going to hardly muffle at all. They are pretty loud, but I can still carry a conversation in the car and it doesnt hurt my ears. If you want an idea of how they sound listen to the clips in my sig. I dont think that the sound clips really do it justice, but give you an idea. It is dual 2.5" exhaust w/ h pipe, bullets and turndowns aimed at an angle out from under the car.

wow, you have great ground clearance, any more pics of how your pipes are routed?

Also, how does your car run? I had the 268xtreme cam in a 350 with ported 461 heads, 2400 stall and 3.23 gears and it ran really good. I never got any times on it because the engine started to eat itself because the guy at the machine shop screwed up(long story, but its getting a 406 now)
I never was able to take it to the track. For what its worth, I raced a 94 T/A that runs consisent 8.79's in the 1/8 buy 4-5 cars on the street. We raced three times and everytime it was the same. I was really happy with the combonation.

BTW, those mufflers are loud, lol.

Yes they are, but I had to modify the drivers side because the driers side header doesnt aim exactly striaght back(hooker long tubes). I just cut a pie shape out of the drivers side s extension, and heated it and bent it together and had it welded. My only other option would have been having it bent and no one around here can do mandrel bends.

Sort of. Usually for some reason glasspacks will have a 3" or 2 1/2" inlet and then reduce down to an even smaller internal size. Bullets are basically straight through, more like resonators if they were to be compared to something. This will give you a good idea of what a bullet muffler looks like, this is a 3" bullet i used to run before I went to dual 2 1/2"

moroso spiral mufflers

those mufflers are bad! they sound so awsome. my dad has some on his car equiped with a holley street dominator intake, edlebrock torquerII cam and unmodified GM heads (not sure on the casting number, there are no accesory holes though) he was just running hedmen long-Xtension-muffler, but now he has long tubes-Xtension-2' of 2 1/2"-muffler-turndown, he just did that last night and i haven't heard it fire up yet, but i am sure it will sound bad. i will swear by these mufflers as being the baddest sounding muffler on the market. i have one in the place of my cat, then a cut-out, then the dynomax cat-back the rest of the way. there is very little backpressure and AWESOME tone, that's why i opted to go with the cutout behind the spiral muffler, i will get pics one day, i don't have a digi camera though

if i knew how to, i would, nor do i have the equipment to record sound clips, but let me tell you what man, i drove my dad's car around the block today with the turndowns, man! those things are soooo freakin awesome! the turndowns help add alot of tone cause the exhaust resonates off the ground...i am not sure i would run them on the street all the time though, they are REALLY loud, that is why i opted to put the dynomax catback on my car...

All you guys running bullet mullers must run the special bullets or something, the only ones I've seen and WAS considering were made by Dynomax. A guy I race with had some bullets and I finally went over to here them, I think open headers are quieter, frickin loud as hell-there is no way possible to carry a conversation in his Falcon while the motor is running. When we were down getting our engine dynoed another kid had some on his Rustang, same story, open header were quiter I think. After hearing these 2 examples I am looking at other alternatives, my SuperFlo's are excellent, the car ran the same number when I removed the exhaust, but as everybody else I'm in search of more ground clearance, I gotta get down and see this other guys bird, supposedly he has 2 flow's mounted at an angle behind the back seat floor board so he "did'nt have to dent his car" so if that's the case, that's the way I'm going also.

I have 2.5" bullets and I can tell you on my car it is hella quieter than open headers. When I ran the car with open headers to break in the cam, I litteraly could almost not hear the garage door opener at all and my brothers car sounded like it was purring like a caddilac wich is a 305 tbi with pretty much stock setup but no muffler. After I put the duals with h pipe and bullets on it was much quieter. I can now carry on a conversation in the car just fine. I also have my turndowns aimed inbetween outward and down so it will aim the sound out from under the car(the air blows out of them behind the rear tires). I have been told that the h pipe quiets the sound a little, and also I have dual 2.5" compared to dual 3" open header collectors. I am not saying it isnt loud, but not anything even close to when it had open headers.
