cutout

hey, I have a 92 camaro RS (305 5.0L TBI)... and its not loud enough! So i have been looking to install a cutout infront of the cat.... anyone on here have a cutout (non-electric)?? how does it sound, and also where did you route the cord to the interior? THanks,

cutout

Whats up man, I hope someone replies to your'e post soon because I am also thinking of installing a cutout on my 92 B4C. I am just not sure of how it will sound and if people are having problems with them!

Just get a summit cutout with wingnut, the cable ones are crap. On my stock car, it was louder, but bearable.

see my post with sound clips for my cutout. i have been told it will sound like a boat if you put it right behind stock manifolds. i couldnt be happier with where mine is now.:hail:

Hey 1bdbrd, did you put your'e cutout before or after the catalytic coinverter? I would have to go with 2 cutouts if I went in front of the cats, but I dont know if I have enough room or not? If I go between the cats and muffler I just need one but I dont know if it will be loud enough, but there is definitely enough room after the cats!

mine is after the cats. but soon ill have no cats at all and long tubes so being too quiet wont be a factor.

its a stock internal L98 with an MSD coil and a homemade CAI.
