Headers are finally in....YAY!!!!

Hey finally started my headers, me and my brother had my manifolds off in about 45mins and y pipe also cut off. we had the driver side header completely on and bolted down by 530ish (we started around 4-430ish. then he left for the track and i did the other side and finally finished around 930-10ish.

i still think i need to gring more off the part where the a arm is for the passenger side becuz the tube that is connected to the collector for the slip tube doesnt touch but when the slip tube is in its a close call, like maybe 1/4'' clerence id say guestamting. and no tubes touch the cross member, i did have to move the brake line on the passenger side a bit becuz it was touching the headers but that wasnt bad moving it. and i didnt have to remove the oil filter either (yes it would have made things just a bit better but oh well).
heres the link to where i put the pics, i started runin out of light so i couldnt get shots of the passenger side header in.headers go here

I still need to put my plug wires together, put the mufflex y pipe on and get a longer starter wire to the battery and check all the gaps on the plugs and remount my power sterrring pump and im good to go and then check timming and fuel and what not.

Congrats. They look great, but arent those headers just a little much for an LG4?

25thrss, Thank you. I have been telling him that. BTW, Im his brother. You know what really burns my ****? It took me almost 12 hrs to get where we are now when i did headers in my car. Of coarse i had the ac to deal with and not quite the tools i have now. And as far as these being too much for his car....well, he can always get a bigger motor...I guess. I just read up on the article traxion made. Looks like some cursing will take place when we put on the y-pipe.

And no. I will not by any means do these to my car.

Well the headers and everything is done and car is on the road running great, alot smoother then before but in the end i lost some ground clearence but with how stiff my suspention is i doubt it will hit alot on things but i love it, i do have a few exuast leaks but ill be weling those closed this week so no problem there.

and with the hooker cat back it has a tinny sound but still sounding like the hookercat back but when u get on it its louder then ever.

all in all it went pretty good for installation and i didnt have to take off the oil filter and i didnt have to lift the motor at all.

i put the new pics on that same gallery as before but ill post another link hereMore pics are here

edit: i was lookin at the bottem of my car and i just need to weld all the clamps and ill pick up about an inch of grround clearence on the ypipe its self, not much i can do for the headers but oh well. and on part of the y pipe is touching the trans crossmember so ill just bust out the dremal and trim it up a bit and everything will be beautiful.

and i couldnt have done it with out this site and everyones input on the header swap. also another little note for people, i had to cut off a bit of the torque arm mount but not anything that will be harmfull.
