I highly reccomend Locking header bolts

I've had problems with the header bolts coming off on the 90, so I bought a set of locking header bolts from a speedshop and it made me happy. I no longer have exhaust gaskets leaking. Just be sure you do not loose any of the c-clips, they do not include extras.

good good advice.. and I would also suggest using soft copper gaskets, with those locking header bolts... you WILL NEVER have to replace gaskets again, or have blowouts... it's a little extra money.. .but for not ever having to swap header gaskets... IT'S DEFINITELY WORTH IT

Same setup as Tim above ^, no problems whatsoever. Never had to touch the bolts except when I pulled the motor out last week. Well worth the money IMO.

I bought a set of Stage-8 locking header bolts a while back ...I can't even put the clips on cause the bolts are too close to the header tube. Only way would be for me to sit there and grind down every single clip. I'd rather just re-tighten them every now-and-than

with those little clips i ended up grindin about 4 of them down to make them fit and it only took a few seconds.

yeah i never used the ones i bought either, just slapped on the slp bolts in the kit i bought. i put the headers on over 3 months ago and the bolts look tight (havent touched them since then), i try moving the headers around from time to time they dont budge so i assume they are tight enough.

You really need to check them with a tightening tool, like a wrench.

If you can actually move the header, you are in trouble....even a bolt that is loose a half turn can make it leak.

I've heard you are supposed to tighten them after 100 miles, then 500, then 2000, and then you should be good until you ever loosen them.....

I check mine all the time just in case cause header leaks are probably the most annoying thing I can think of while drivin'....

But how hard are they to remove when you want to take them off? Are the clips even reusable?

Not hard at all, it's a simple as removing an e-clip (a small scredirver is all that's necessary) and then pulling the actual bolts out, if they're stage 8, then its real easy to get to all of them with an allen wrench. When I took mine out it didn't take me but 15 minutes and all the bolts were out. As far as the clips being reusable, yes they are, but if necessary you can find new clips at most hardware stores fairly cheaply.
