Borla exhaust? Please Help

Hi i just bought a 91 rs camaro with the 3.1l v6 and i realize that it is a slow car and if i cant make it fast i might as well make it loud
so i was looking at the borla exhaust for my car and was wondering if thats the best? I also want good performance and loud exhaust all the time and i have plenty of money for borla so just please compare whats the loudest and not whats worth getting value wise so please tell me if the borla is a loud exhaust and if its the loudest or what is and i need one i can self install

Thank You

borla.....

Yeah it's good. Take that $600 and save it.

Keep saving til you can buy and install a 350, trust me. A loud, slow V6, sounds like the import crowd to me.

I have a Borla on my 95 Trans Am.

there is no borla exhaust for the 91 3.1 V6 engines..you would need to modify a V8 kit and after you spend your life savings on the borla and then have it modified you will be on welfare...

You can fit any exhaust you want. The problem is that your exhaust is probably something like 2 inches or 2 and a quarter inches in diameter. Mating that to a 3 inch exhaust will not only sound terrible(read 330hp_91rs' post), but be a complete waste of money. You may as well just cut off your muffler. Sound comes from power, not from big exhaust. Unless you want an annoying sound.

Why would you want to spend all of your money on exhaust rather than a good engine, or even turbo/supercharging the one you have? just doesn't sound like something i would do but if you really want your camaro to sound like **** i guess you can make it loud, but 1 thing, **** and camaro don't mix, you will get respect from no one, **** guyz hate ya cuz u got a camaro and muscle car guyz hate ya cuz ur exhaust sounds like **** ****! lol maybe not really but i say like everyone else save your damn money, if you have so much drop in a LT1, thats what i did!!! Now I will have a loud car, **** i will sell you my old 305TBI for 100.00 and then you will have a engine you can make loud and it will sound good but it will still be slow good luck man

exhaust

Yes i want to get a 350 engine in my car but i dont want to have to pay insurance for a v8 just a v6 and i dont know if i would get in any trouble for lying to them would i? and i was wondering how much would it cost if i swapped a v6 to a 350 v8 say if i got the engine from a junk yard for like 400 bucks or so would i have to buy a motor mount and crap because honestly i dont know what those look like and i wouldnt know what to pull from a junk yard so if i need anything besides the engine then please tell me everything i will need to pull from a junk yard and how much do u estimate its gonna cost and if i dont end up gettin a v8 what exhaust will fit on my v6 that i dont have to weld or customize that will give me the best performance

thank you please write back

well i mean does the insurance company ask you what engine is currently in the car? if i'm correct, they want to know what engine was origionally in the car...they'll look at the VIN and see its a V6, and unless you get tons of speeding tickets i doubt they'd care much......if they for some reason DID question you about it and stuff you could just say that you had a friend look up the VIN when you got it and it said V6, and your not a car guy so ya didnt know the difference :lala:

Magnaflow. Makes even the 3800 II and its funky firing order sound good...Magnaflow will sound really good on your 60 degree V6. Used to have a 94 3.4 with a flowmaster 80 and it sounded good, but got annoyingly loud and had the **** out of course.

I've heard magnaflow cat back on a 96 3.8 Camaro and it wasn't loud, but ballsy and had a great tone. I've heard the Borla Catback on a Grand Prix GTP and I was not impressed, kind of *****...But all my opinion. Good luck.
