You can have cats with longtubes, and shorties are not restrictive. I don't know of anyone who makes mid length headers for our cars.

with your setup id dont think you have to worry about having longtubes and getting in trouble for that before other things

Headman headers are much higher off the ground. I'm 90% sure my old post might come up in a search, but if you looked for headman long tube headers even in the sticky i've seen some pics there before. I know on my camaro they tucked up rather nicely out of the way

ya I dont know why more ppl havent posted about them?? they look WAY better than the hookers. I would rip the hookers right off!!

Does anyone what to throw there pics up here? I would like to see a front on the ground shot and a side shot from the ground. also do you think these 1 5/8" lts would flow better than a 1 3/4" shorties? - TOT

Here is where you have to clearance the drivers side control arm mount.

I think I might have a few more on my computer but nothing from the front or the side. I cannot take more because the car is in a million pieces in the garage and the headers are hanging from the wall.

If you want to build a Y-pipe like I did You will need the hedman X-tensions and a flowmaster Y. I had an exhaust shop make the remaining to pieces up for me but you could make them out of a piece of straight stock and some mandrels if you wanted. I had about an hundred dollars in the y-pipe by the time it was done.

The hedman extension would still not be a bad idea to pick up then. They fit on my car like they belonged there. It might save you some time and wasted pipe.

hmmmm those are 68460's im pretty sure those arent the D port style. the 68469's are heres a link with pics of both.
http://www.speedyperformanceparts.co...24&brandid=166

I guess I dont "NEED" to have the D port style but they would match up better to my D-port lt1 heads. hmm I wonder if the ground clearance with the 68469,s is the same as the 68460's.... damn it I thought i had it all figured out!

That is the first I have seen of those. I wondering they are not the same header with a different flange? The ones in the pic beside the description look they would hit the stock front cross member.

Looked at the pics again and the pic has to be wrong. Those are not SBC headers the center exhaust port are not siamesed.

ok just talked to them and they said it had to be a screw up on the site because the only thing different between the two is the flange. the 68469's are D-port the 68460's arent.

the ones pictured look like ls1 headers, equal space between the primary tubes
