SLP header coating
anyone have any experience with the coating SLP puts on their headers? Decent quality, or is it just a light coating on just the outside of the header?
mine are holding up great.
Polished aluminum-CERAMIC COATED 4-into-1 headers are available for the 1982-1992 V8 Camaro and Firebird. This high luster, Ceramic coating is guaranteed for the life of the headers and will lower under hood temperatures and add an awesome "finishing touch" to your engine compartment. It maintains exhaust temperature and velocity - increasing power. Available for an additional $175.00.

Nice-I guess i should add rusty Hooker 2460s and worse y-pipe to my sig...
Anyway, are they coated on the inside? I wanted to get them like that because i wanted to get the y-pipe coated later after i weld the cutout to it, but I wanted to make sure SLPs coating was compareable to the other companies.

Well, as long as it's better than the Hooker coating (seen that, they don't even do a good job doing ONLY the ouside), and if it looks like it's done as far as you can see on the inside, they probably did the whole inside. Good info. Thanx.

collectors are 2-1/4 into a single 3"
And i was going to send ACS the y-pipe later, after i did some fitting of my cutout, so they could coat it too, i just didn't want to pay for shipping the headers back and forth if they could send them to me coated decent.
