i put my new hedman long tubes in only to find out that on both sides they have clearence problems. on the drivers side they contact the motor cross member/strut tower area. and on the passenger side they contact my fuel lines. i was wondering if any one else has had these problems and how they fixed them. i dont want to dent my headers if i can help it.

How old are your motor mounts? If they are original, they could be really worn out, letting the engine sag down alot. Fresh ones might jack up the engine enough to solve your problem.

They can, i've heard of them sagging an inch or more. You gotta remember here, that they are supporting a 600lb block of metal, so it pushes down pretty hard on them.

Change your mounts are your cleanrace problems should go away. Stock GM rubber mounts don't last very long. A nice poly set will do the trick and last a lifetime.

ill get new mounts prob. by next year but ill run the stock ones til then
do the poly mounts cause more vibration than the stock ones, since theyre stiffer?

They cause a bit more but nothing to get worried over. Some notice it more than others. It depends on how tollerable you are. I don't have poly motor mounts on any of my cars but from what I read it is a matter of personal preference. Camaors are no Caddy's so you should be fine with them.
