how loud?

My exhaust setup on my 305 tbi is this : TES headers (not sure of size, but the ones for the 350), a random tech. cat, and 3" flowmaster american thunder catback. I have been harassed here and there about how loud it is, but because it's perfectly legal in every way ( i carry around the paperwork with me ) i've never been fined. The issue is this, im ripping the whole setup off to put on my 89 z28 with a 350tpi, my question is how much louder is this gonna be going from a 305 to a 350, obviously this isn't that big of a deal, but im just wondering if anyone was in a simular situation and knew... thanks, josh.

it shouldn't be much louder it more or less will have a different tone. being your raising the cubic inches the tone will probably be deeper making the 5.0 sound like a whiney motor

it will sound different. theres a big difference between a TBI and TPI setup. TBI doesn't flow as well as the TPI engines. more air in = more air out = different tone and possibly louder exaust.

that is something i couldn't tell you i would think because of the change in flow it would sound deeper with the TPI. try looking at the sound board at the different exausts
