flowmaster is always the best choice for good deep sound but not too loud..if you add headers then its loud
...although ive never heard a v6 sound any louder than a lincon town car with the cruise control on...except for the older ones owned and beat on that have loud nocking noises comming from the engine bay
...because most people dont put exhaust on v6..they just buy a v8. so my advise is; get a v8 with flowmaster it will sound nice
..or just put flowmaster on there...
:FOOTNOTE:
Add a nice K&N cold air intake on there too
..Then you be good

Tips aren't going to change the exhaust sound at all.
Personally, I have yet to hear a performance exhaust sound good on a 4 or 6 cyl. You really aren't gonna get the deep throaty sound unless you nestle eight pockets between the fenders.
If you are going for performance, that's a different story. Find some well designed headers, hi flow cat, and high flow muffler. Still won't sound all that great, but it'll flow much better than factory.
Sounds like your not concerned with performance though, so I'd just leave it be.
