Y-Pipe for 2210's?
Anyone know where I can get a good Y-Pipe to hook up to the Hooker 2210 Headers? The guys at Hooker told me that a company named Mufflex makes it but it's $339
There's got to be something cheaper out there.

One way would be to buy a y-pipe and have a muffler shop make tubing to go from that to the headers....would be cheaper.

It'll take some modification. I bought mine used from another member on this board and they had to cut and weld the Mufflex Y-pipe back together at different angles to gain chassis and ground clearance in spots it was rubbing.

shawnc16 -- do you happen to know if they make a 3" dual inlets to a 3" single outlet?
likeenz24 -- I'm trying to avoid a muffler shop bc around here muffler shops don't tend to deal with anything 3" in dia.
There's a place called AA Speed & Custom (www.aaspeed.com) that will supposedly do any sort of custom exhaust from headers to tail pipes and everything in between. I may just take it to get done there if it's cheaper. I need a flowmaster from a Y-Pipe back anyways and I want to make sure it's done proper due to clearence issues underneath... it gets a little low sometimes

On mine I did 2.5 pipe into a 3" flowmaster y-pipe......2.5" pipe should be good for most applications...Ive also heard that the mufflex y-pipe takes alot of modification to make it work, not a direct bolt on....

Yeah, well I may just take it to this customizing place and have them do it bc they'll do all the work from the Y-Pipe to the Tips, and I know it'll be done right. Thanks for the input.

I know they make the 4 inch out and they have a reducer down to 3 inch for another 25 bucks.
The site is mufflex-performance.com if you wanna check em out.
I just ordered a 4 inch cat back with a spintech muffler and 3 inch dual outs. Damn good quality and all the systems are made for each customer. You wont be dissapointed. It took just over a week.
I happened to get a deal on a y-pipe through the classifieds on here.

everything hooks right up with no modifications or you will have to modify it like everyone else is saying you have to?

Nothins perfect so you may have to have a few small tweaks. Overall my y-pipe looks like it was just a straight bolt up application.

Ok, thanks for the info.
BTW, how's your ground clearence by the collectors and around the transmission pan and mount? Do you happen to have any pics of the car on the ground underneath?
