Large Tube headers

Does anyone have any experience with large tube headers and 3rd gen cars? I'm in need of a set of 1 7/8 or 2 inch long tubes, but can't seem to find any part numbers.

Anything over 1 3/4" takes STAHL type adapters to my knowledge and you'll be looking at spending a little cash for that along with the custom headers.

Unless you plan on making just plain stupid HP numbers 1 3/4" long tubes should be fine.

Take a look at the 1 3/4" Long Tube thread... good information on clearancing needed and install tips. https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=148210

--EDIT--

Here's another good header thread https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=204967

A few custom header shops will make direct bolt on 1 7/8 small block chevy headers, just not for third gens.
I have started on a set of direct bolt on 1 7/8 shorty type for my stroked 400 with nitrous.

A picture of a direct bolt on flange with 1 7/8 tube.

Check out Hedman's website, they have part numbers for 1 7/8" headers. I scored a set of 1 7/8" Hooker super comps from a member here, they seem to be pretty nice but are out of production.
