What size pipes are these?

How is clearance over the panhard brace/axle with the suspension loaded?

Do you have a picture of ground clearance? A shot from the side would be nice.

anyone?

I'd love to see some rear pictures and ground clearance pictures of that setup! Looks GREAT!

I have the rear over the axle picture i'll have to scan it.

I went to talk to my exhaust guy today he estimated like $400 just looking at the pictures, he wants me to bring the car up next monday to get a better idea.

$400 a good price?

Not mine but my old 83Z had a dual edelbrock setup like that.

Duals all the way back but it was a 2into 1 muffiler. and 2 out on the same side.

Yes, 400 would be a good price to custom bend that setup. I have a Monza which basically is the same chassis as the 3rd gen camaro only smaller. I had local shop here bend a dual system on it just like you show in the pictures only mine started from long tube headers under the car. It was very tricky to bend and clear everything, especially when we got the the rear and had the panhard bar, shock, and external electric fuel pump to deal with on my monza, everything is tight but it works. I went with a dual inlet and dual outlet muffler on mine and installed it right in the factory location for a monza, on the tailpipes though I had him run one of them over to the other side of the car as I did not like dual pipes coming out of one side of the car.
The system on mine looks very cool and sounds good, unfortunately because of the tight bends snaking all around, it is Very,,, and I mean very restrictive as I have found out at the track with some experimenting. I feel I would have been better off just going with a good custom made Y-pipe (since none are offered for monzas) and a 3 inch or larger single pipe with smaller gradual bends and a good muffler. Or better yet, when this system rusts away, I think I will just go with dual 3 inch and 2 muffers dumped in front of the rearend and be done with it. I don't mind the noise anyway. Larry.

i didnt notice thats actually under the driveshaft i thought it was tucked up next to it. i wouldnt doubt if there were clearance issues then.

Oh and just to add if any one is curious, I paid about $600 including the muffler to have my system done on the Monza. Mine also runs partially under the drive shaft as this is the only way to do it and still have ground clearance. The drive shaft is a little tricky to get out but it does come out with a little finagaling. I would imagine a Camaro would be a little easier to do this system on since the car is larger in every aspect compared to my Monza therefore would have more room to work with.
My Monza is just a hot rod type of car and I was expierimenting with it. If I did it over again which I will in the future, it will just get duals down each side with 2 mufflers dumped in front of the rearend and leave it at that since I don't care much about noise or looks on the Monza plus it needs a better flowing system anyway...... As far as my Iroc goes, I will probably just stick to 3 inch cat back systems on that car since it will never have an engine in it worthy of anything better than that Larry.
