Breslin header bolt what size?
Hi...I'm running a 88 T/A, 350 with hooker 2055 headers and want to replace the Header bolts with "Breslin Split Locks"
If someone has a set of these on a simular car can you give me the proper length or better yet your part number.
Called summit and that guy really didn't know.
Its been over 105 degrees outside and finding time when the motor is cool is a PITA. So I have not pulled a bolt to check the length.
The works going to be done by a shop were its cool
Thanks

I used 3/8" x 1" regular header bolts. I don't know if the Breslins require a different length.

Just reinstalled them after Jet Hot onto the new 350 shortblock last week.

I pulled one of the bolts and it was 3/4" so I ordered the 3/8" X 3/4". Summit part # BPP-600-076.
When the package arrives I will bull the bolt again and make sure it fits.
My header bolts came with the headers so this should be correct.
"Should " being the oppertive word.

They should be okay. The 1" just reach farther into the bolt hole, grabbing more thread. That's why I used them rather than the supplied 3/4".

Question... I was told by Hooker that the 2055's come with 3/4 inch bolts... but I also have my 2055's Jet Hot coated & since this does add to the thickness some, I would prefer to use the 1 inch bolts... and as you said, more thread to grab... I shouldn't have a problem bolting these into my 91 305 TPI?

After I got mine running I discovered one bolt had punched through the back of the bolt hole into the water jacket. That's with World heads, though.
Check hole depth first, but you shouldn't have any problem with the 1".
