Sure will there’s nothing wrong with shorties at all they will flow better than you stock manifolds. If you get HOK-2055's or SLP's 1 3/4" headers they should be good to probably about 450hp after you should upgrade to long tubes.

Go shorties man!!!!! Just did the longtube setup on my GTA and I notice that you have an Automatic Transmission.........So do I......... I found that the Tranny Crossmember hangs too low and that the trans oil pan doesn't leave much room for modifications. This means that you'll have to run a y-pipe beneath the Tranny crossmember and if the roads are like mine here in WPG. You'll be scaping everywhere you go.........

A good set of shorties like Hooker or SLP will support a 350 just fine to around 350-400hp.

Here are somthings you will need about 8hr's, some basic hand tools, a sawzaw with metal blades preferred, if not a hand saw, some emission's hose for the check valves, stage 8 locking bolts (not necessary but they are great to have). Then just follow the instructions.

shorties is what im gonna go with since i need ground clearance, and also shorties are good enough for a 500 hp c6 zo6 with a 427 , i mean their not true shorties but their deffy not long tubes, but i also read an article from kooks that longtubes gave a regular c6 vette 30 rwhp .

It depends on which set you get, and what engine you have. I got a set of Hedman shorties, and I have a carb'd 350 with no emitions or computer controls. All I had to do to install mine was remove the drivers side valve cover.

An engine like a TPI, with all its hoses and wiring, might make installation a bit more complicated, and different sets of headers fit differently than others. SLP headers I know are a pretty tight fit in these cars.

do some searching...i never did a header install and i did it. i searched and searched theres some good reads and it seems everyone had a diffrent problem or had to install them diffrently. i had to jack the motor on the passenger side broke my fan switch drop the starter pull my dipstick and then the pass header fell right in....lol but in the end it was well worth it. dont bother reading the instrucions that came with them there basic to say the least

Dennis doin the long tube thing should be OK cause you have the standard tranny......... it's not the tubes or collector that are the problem. It's the tranny cross member and with the standard tranny you have more room on each side of the tail section. You can even cut the crossmember to make more room........ check out what one of the guys did on my post exhaust too low

GTA Sammy I hope you are right. I am still questioning what will happen when the collectors get to the crossmember. It is an aftermarket spohn one that came with my TQ arm. I will post an problems I have as they come up.
