if you have money to spend go with boria. but if you want good sound at a cheap price go with a ravin system. I have it and i love it

As far as loudest Catback you can buy.

GMMG
SLP LoudMouth
TSP Rumbler (cheap version of Loudmouth)
Stailess Works (cheap verson of GMMG)

or make somthing custom. To keep cost down this is what I would do.

Dynomax 3" Intermediate Pipe WLK-44063 91.99
Dynomax 3" Overaxle Pipe WLK-43248 54.39
Dynomax Race Magnum Bullet Muffler WLK-24222 39.95
Dynomax Universal 3" Tailpipe WLK-44279 39.69

Total 234.97 Shipped

Also if you make a cat eliminator pipe this system will verge on obnoxious.

Yep. Ask me how I know Or better yet click Hear Me! in my sig!

Borla and Magnaflow are two way different systems. Borla costs about $700ish bucks too. Magnaflow is alot quieter than the Borla, but really bassy.

Stay away from Flowmaster and Edelbrock if you want loud.

i've heard the 80 series on a new ls1 3" pipe and it was Loud. I know slp loud mouths are louder but then everyone says they sound like crap and are too loud. I am just looking for something mean sounding

I had an IMCO performance crossflow muffler put in place of the Flowmaster that came with my American thunder system. This is the meanest muffler i have ever heard on one of these cars. It sounds incredible and its loud as hell. Go to www.grabthepower.com and look at the PRO muffler. 3" in/ dual 2.5" out crossflow.

Hooker Cat Backs have a nice idle and SCREAM when you step on it. It's my favorite cat-back system. Oh and it comes wit 2 dual 2.5" tips, looks really nice

sounds like loud is your main concern. if so, just get a cherry bomb (or any other straight through-minimal resistance muffler) and drop the car and the muffler off at a muffler shop, you could even go with a one sided design (since those mufflers only have one outlet) and save on costs, but it would still be loud as fudge,...... which is what you're asking for, yes?

in my honest opinion, quality is more important than QUANTITY, when refering to exhaust noise, but good luck with whatever you decide.

i had a pair of Edelbrock 6872 TEMS headers and y pipe on my 86 TA w/ a mild 355. ran that into a cat eliminator pipe, and then into a Flowmaster American Thunder cat back... 138 db @ 5000 rpms in the driveway. it was just a little loud... and the dreaded "Flowmaster drone" really wasnt that bad.
