Cut out + cat q's???

The only exhaust mod I have done to my car so far is a flowmaster cat back with a 40 series muffler. it's an 88 Iroc 350TPI. I am thinking about getting the SLP header package that does not have the AIR.

Now i have a single cat set up and here is where I am lost. I don't want to spend the cash on 2 cut outs. I want to get one and install it right before the cat. Is there room? Does anyone have any pictures of a single cut out before the cat? I wouldn't mind installing a highflow cat if that made things eisier either. I jsut want to be able to hit a switch to open exhaust for the track. Any pics/advice will be appreciated.

Is that a cat right after it? If so what brand. I was looking at right there today and was curious if it would fit without hitting that piece of metal that hangs down.

there's got to be a better way to do that... it's practically scraping on the ground!

I'm planning on running:
SLP 3005C Headers & 3" Y Pipe
Catco 3" OEM Style High Flow Cat
Hooker 3" Catback Exhaust

I'm looking to install a cutout before the cat, then bolting up the electric cutout servo to that so it can be done with the flick of a switch. on the other side of the cutout, I want to bolt a flange on there with a 3" turndown.

There is no cat there. But my cutout is in roughly the same spot yours would be if you installed one pre-cat.

And no, it doesn't scrape. Its not even close. Thats just the picture. My cutout is actually just as high up (maybe higher) than the cat was when I had one.
