Its probably not as bad as you think it is. I just did this myself. It takes some time and patience, but you can do it. Make sure you support the car with jackstands before working under it. Read the directions also. It will probably take you a good weekend, but the money you will save is worth it. Get some of your friends together and get some pizza. When its done you'll be glad you did it yourself.

What headers did you get? That will determine how hard they are to put on. Most headers are probably going to require plug wires with 90* boots on them. If you are going from stock everything to headers, then it will take longer than 3 hours. My first set took about 12 hours including removing all smog equipment, removing exhaust, unbolting motor mount and jacking engine up, and my favorite.... installing stage 8 locking header bolts. I wonder how I used the stock plug wires on that one....
Pull ties, maybe?

If its one long exhaust pipe from cat to muffler, its had to get it over the rear end. Seems like I had to remove the p/s rear tire, shock and spring. Them just slid it on. Try and get the car as high off the ground as you can. Is this a stock cat back? What brand parts are you using?

I am never going cheap with my car ever again!! Nice mellow tone to it and no resonance inside the car like you would with hooker/flowmaster. Just a nice smooth, DEEP, tone. It has gotton a bit louder in the past few weeks but still not enough to be annoying.
At WOT it's got a very refined sound with no raspiness what so ever. Like I said, I love it.
Dynomax also flow equal to or better than any aftermarket exhaust for our car's.
I have an issue of GMHTP where they picked up a solid 2/10s of a second in the 1/4 mile on a TPI firebird.
It's an excellent exhaust system that would be a lot more popular if it only had a more "agressive" sound to it. (Everybody seems to want "LOUD & ANNOYING" nowadays
