Best headers I can get for under $200
Hey guys sorry to post this but what would be the best headers I can get for under $200 (don't have a lot of money). I looked through the post on best exhaust and such, but most of those headers were around $500 and up.

You can get non-emission Hedmans for less than $200. Then you're going to have to pay someone to modify the y-pipe to attach it to the collectors, which is probably going to cost you at least another $200.
There's a reason you get into the $400 range for headers. You'd be much better off getting the Hooker 2055's for just under $400, which you could bolt on yourself. If you're only half-way there, you're only half-way there. Be patient and do it right once.

You can get hedman 68470s for around $250, and they will connect to the stock exhaust.
If your gonna spend more than that, go with a larger tube header like an SLP.

about saving up the money, I really wish I could but as a high school kid I don't make a lot of money and have a lot of spendings (phone, insurance, gf, etc.) so I dont think I'll ever have more than $300 (which I got for Christmas) on my car. If I have a chance to save up money in college that would be great, because I wont have the insurance payments for the car (I'll take it off the road and my friend will drive me around), but I'm not sure if I'll even have the time for a job in college.

For your budget the 2055 might be the best bet. The 68470s won't pass a visual inspection because of no air tubes.
Curiously, why do you want headers? If you only have $300, and don't plan on havnig much more down the road, you probably won't be able to compliment the headers with any furthur mods.
Why don't you buy a catback, and use the leftover money to take your GF out before she leaves you for a drug dealer with an import.

I bought my hooker setup on ebay (was brand new) from a speed shop in texas. 3" mandrel bends, aerochamber, etc for like $150 shipped. I think they're like 2 something from summit, but I see them on ebay often.
If you can deal with cutting the cat flange and rewelding it, you can prolly score one for a similar application than yours specificly, and save good money.

hmm...
If I was doing things over again, I would get the Hooker 2055, shorties into a 3 inch y pipe, into a "test pipe" than into a 3 inch catback.
You'd have all your ground clearance, and could drop the car later on.
Why not save up a little more money and do everything at once?
My buddy was dissappointed with his T-bird when he bought some 40 series, he cut corners instead of doing everything at once; hedders, duals, 40's, ect. he ended up having to use factory bent 2inch tailpipes, and you could barely tell a difference from before
I got my hedman lts for about 120, but I'm not happy with their ball flange style collector, its hard to get a good seal.
I was in highschool last year, i know about the money thing. Just save up and get the 2055's, you won't regret it.

Its not that hard to be in school and mod your car. Im a junior and im about to be paying $530 for an exhaust. It just takes time to save it up.

I agree with these other guys. Save your money, you'll need it for college. There arent any headers you can get for $200 that are worth it.

If you're really intent on saving money check out boneyards (I've seen 2055s on an L03 RS in the boneyard before), ebay, classifieds like craigslist.org, classifieds on this site. You can find good headers for that price if you look for deals. but you'll never get them new from summit or something. It's worth every penny to save up and buy them.
If you don't have a catback already however, I highly recommend you do that first. $200 should be enough if the local muffler shop has an old flowmaster muffler or two laying around (they usually do). If you're going to buy new just take a look in the exhaust clips thread to find what you think sounds best. With your engine the power differences between mufflers is a moot point.
I will tell you that between the hooker aerochamber and the flowmaster 80 the difference is a big one. The hooker has a much better tone but it's alot quieter. The flowmaster really drones but it's much louder.
