None.

You need a direct-fit cat for the '86-'90 TPI single-cat application, such as a Catco 9118. Then any cat-back for the same application will fit it.

yeah thats the cat i plan on using but im confused about the catbacks one says for 2.5" carb and tbi the other catback says for tpi with 2.75 cat but the cat # you gave me says 3" outlet so which one will bolt up? From what i seen theres only 3 choices for steel dual outlet catbacks and thats flowmaster (junk) edelbrock (heard bad things) or hooker (what i want).

2.75" was the factory size pipe. That's the application you need.

Hooker headers from Jeg's (520-2055). Catco high-flow converter from Summit (CTO-9118). Hooker catback from Summit (HOK-16823HKR). Great flow, great sound. Recommended.

Going with an aftermarket slip-on cat makes life a lot easier when you decide to modify the exhaust. I have a 3" slip-on dynomax on my car, and any 3" catback will fit simply by cutting off the stock cat-flange from the end of the pipe, and using a 3" pipe expander to expand the pipe so the cat can slip right in. Same thing if you have a 3" y-pipe. In my case I've got a 2.5" y-pipe, so I had to use a 2.5-3" adapter piece.

I thought I was "smart" getting a 3" universal cat. One of the worst decisions I ever made. Ended up costing me more by the time it was adapted to the cat-back than it would have been to get a direct-fit cat.

If you're going to modify the exhaust to improve over what you can do with a single 3" exhaust, you probably aren't going to have a cat, anyway. Or a 3" y-pipe.
