SLP Header problems
I was wondering if anybody else is having ground clearance problems with the y pipe that slp provides with there headers? Because where my Y pipe collects to one three inch pipe its about 2 inches off the ground. and i and scraping on everything.
I will try to take a picture today after work to show you whats going on. But i cant think of a way to fix it, other than cutting down the y pipe to it sucks up against the body better.
just seeing if anybody has had this problem or just throw me some advise.
thanks

Un-tight all union in the front (two collector and under the oil pan) replace the Y-pipe correctly then bolt-up the front and I hope that all will be right for you!!
Did you have the stock tranny or done an engine swap or other mods on it!!!
You have the Top of the line one’s it should fit there like a glove!!!

ok here is a side shot.
everything you see scrapes on speed bumps everytime and its ugly because you can see it from the side.. as you can see.
I cant think of anything to do to fix it. The only thing i can think of is that my motor is sitting lower than normal. like my motor mounts are bad.

I also just swapped out the old tranny crossmember with a spohn upgrade plus a new torque arm. and that is very low to the ground to and that scrapes on speed bumps.

its the original k member.
I think its the placement of my motor, because its all cocked to the side and it doesnt look straight. i will try to take a pic of that too.
I have new motor mounts that i have to put in so i hope that will change something.

I can tell from the pic in your signature that your car is lowered. It's going to drag. You could try changing to poly motor mounts so they wouldn't sag as much, but honestly you're dealing with a problem someone created by lowering the car. You're going to have to find a work around, it's not a problem with the headers, it's a lack of ground clearance.

is it possible that the new trans crossmember positions the trans mount lower than it should be? this could cause the angle of he engine and trans to be different in turn changing the angle of the exhaust, pointing is down instead of level

I think its a combination of the new crossmember and my motor mounts being torn up! I am in the process of replacing the motor mounts. I just dont know how im going to do that yet. I have never done that before so im am in search for directions.
