Stage 8 Header Bolts

I'm putting headers on on my '86 iroc (LG4) its hard to say what length bolts I need because most of them are different lengths. I was thinking 1" bolts. Do i have to modify the power steering bracket as well as the A/C braket to make the headers work?

1" will probably be too long unless the headers you decide to use have thick flanges. 3/4" would be more like it.

Make sure you use stainless steel bolts too. You may have to modify brackets in order for them to fit. With my Hooker 2460's I had to do some SLIGHT modification (no welding )

Probably about 1/4". If they're too long they'll bottom out in the heads before they're tight.

So the 3/4" stage 8 locking head bolts are the way to go?

I found the Stage 8 bolts a PIA to work with. Maybe because I have 1 3/4" headers but the clips were tough to get on. I do like the allen wrench hole in the center. Makes it easy to get the bolt snug.

On some headers you may need to file the clips a little to get them to fit.
