stock replacment y pipe

stock replacment y pipe

does anyone know where to get a replacement y pipe, new or used.aftermarket is fine as long as it can bolt up to my stock manafolds (305 tpi ) i went to a muffler shop and they wanted $434.00 for ypipe and labor . i thought about the junk yard but it would be hard to get to it in the yard .i dont have a lot of money at the moment so the cheaper the better , thanks for any help

Go to Napa Tell them what you have. I found part number: EXH 40439 for a total of $204.00 . Pick up the Y pipe from them and install it your self with some new gaskets.

Try jegs, they have a new Y-Pipe setup jsut for our cars in the TPI section. Stock replacements....minus cats of course.

On Rockauto.com you can find the stock y pipes for around 125$.
If you use 3" cat converter, macperformance.com sells a nice one for around 170$. (the same one can be found at hawks)

thanks for all the replys, i think i found one for sale near me , but before i go look at it is there any difference between tpi and not tpi y pipes? i saw somewhere that iroc exhaust is bigger (im a camaro noob)

Yes. The LG4 Y-pipe is smaller and will not fit the TPI exhaust manifolds. FYI, some IROC's were equipped with LG4's, so not all had the larger exhausts. The following link will provide some more info:

ok that will help out a lot thanks for that. that pic is good reference, i have the bigger y pipe. i did not know there was that much of a difference in the 2. thanks for all the help
