Quick Question
Had my motor replaced about 3000 miles ago. I have been babying it, with exception of a couple wheel chirps. But since I got it back I noticed that while in drive I get a tic. While in park or neutral its not there and its only when I give it gas....I am thinking it might be a small exhaust leak due to them clipping the A.I.R tubes and crimping them..... Any thoughts.

Re: Quick Question
I was thinking of getting a set of headers but was told that they would be alot hotter than the stock and would melt any hose next to them.....Is this true......Cause I would like to replace them, with something else I don't have alot of money and would like to get a nice set for the money.

Re: Quick Question
Will they get hot enough to melt wires and hoses coming of the engine. And what would be the cheapest set of headers and y pipe i could use. Like I said I don't have much money and I can always upgrade later.

Re: Quick Question
They're only melt things if you let them touch the headers. Hooker 2055s are probably the best bang for the buck. There are cheaper headers available but they're of much lower quality.

Re: Quick Question
You might find that you need to jack the engine up, but you won't need to remove it entirely.

Re: Quick Question
You'd have to ask around your local shops. It's nothing you couldn't do yourself.
