anyone tried putting some tuner mufflers on a third gen? instead of a single muffler two ''fart can'' mufflers . it might sound good with a v8 .im not going to do it but me and my dad were tossing it around. the only reason i thought about it is i kind-of like the look of them .(ya im a little bit tuner at heart)

 

i thought about it too... i had a cheap $50 one on my civic when i owned it... ( loved the reliablilty and gas milage) sounded good..

on a v8 it'll just be a glass pack at the end of the pipe...aka might as well get some nice normal looking borla or pace setter resonator tips

 

I dont really like the idea too much. Makes it look *****. I guess if you had the car set up for full drift racing, it would look OK. My buddy has a 240SX with dual fart cans and it actually is a pretty sick car.

 

ive seen mustangs here with fart cans... the mufflers may look good off the car but on the car it loses the coolness

But that's not the link I provided. It's a different category. Might as well say "All Chevrolets are diesels" After all, go to Chevrolet, and there is a diesel link. All 3rd gens must be V6,. There is a V6 link.

Bottom line, I didn't link to the ATV category, but to the Auto category. Yes, Supertrapp makes some for ATVs. I didn't link to those. So, I don't know why you even bothered to bring up the ATVs.

Anyways, Supertrapps were around before r i c e r s even existed. I guess Flowmasters are r i c e r too. After all, Flowmaster makes import mufflers.

 

 

I thought about mounting my 40 series 3.5" muffler sticking out the back like the ricers do it...then I thought to myself, i'm not a ****** bag...

I am with you on this... I am not a serious, die hard, camaro purist. I have done research on the muffler i would like do this with. I heard a chevy that was running those tuner mufflers, it sounded cool, it didn't sound farty, it had a really nice sound.

When i heard it and turned around, was surprised to see a Chevy, but i actually smiled and liked the guys creativity.

Hey man, this board is full of PURISTS and its your car, and i for one am with you... once i can stop a few ppl with the sound i am looking for, i will go for it. Hahah nothing wrong with sounding like an indy car... LOL

It really depends on what car you are putting tuner styled mufflers on. Iv'e seen grand prix gtp's with duel tuner mufflers and it acually looked good. and it sounded nice too. But I can't see a camaro looking good with tuner mufflers on it.
