Advice on where to run Chambered muffler

I plan to run a stanless steel works 30" chambered muffler on my car with LT, i would like to know do it make a difference if you run it along side of the driveshaft vs. across the back, and will the sound be different either way.

The farther back you put ANY muffler the quieter it will be,

That Muffler is $144 for the mill finish and $178 for the stainless steel. just go to stainless steel works and check them out

Well i do want loud, but i would have to run the the exhust out one side like the 94' SS or come up with some kind of crazy y-pipe for the rear to have dual tips.

If you want it loud, do a setup like the GMMG, they use the stainless works chambered mufflers like you have, matter of fact, two of them. Get a Y from Flowtech or Flowmaster, put it on the i-pipe, split one pipe to one muffler, exit on the right, put the other pipe from the y on the other muffler, exit on the left, you'll love the sound.

That would be a great idea but, i am not going to run true duals, i wounder how will that work if i come off long tubes to a y-pipe to a single 2.5" or 3" pipe to another y-pipe. I might just run it like the old school SS two out one side or one 3" exit.

I have a Dynomax Bullet in my I-pipe. I suggest doing the same with that muffler. Couple guys on here run the same muffler as you and it sounds badass. You won't be disappointed, I assure you.

That's the way alot of guys in the 4th gens are doing it, it sounds awesome going that route. Headers ---> y-pipe ---> i-pipe ---> y-split ---> mufflers

here's a picture of it

Yeah i did see that labret maze of piping on GMMG, but i dont see the benefit of having two mufflers when the exhust gas is coming out one pipe, i might just stick with the simple clean S path without making that hard u bend for the right side.

There's less backpressure running it through two mufflers.

Oh ok, i didnt know that, i guess you learn something new everyday, that makes sence, all that pressure that was built up coming out of one pipe needs the same path as it went in "Brilliant" .

Now i wonder what it the different between Classic chamberd 30" muffler and Stainless steel works 30" chambred, besides the price, i can get two for one if i go with CCM.
