Write the great folks at Summit. They can match some up for you.

Advance sells a different brand that is supposed to be good to 1,400F ~$7.95 a can. It has similar instructions comments as Eastwood site

They won't bolt up--and you really wouldn't want them too since the OE Y is terribly restrictive. Many headers come with a matched Y, which makes life much easier because no fabbing is necessary.

He's right. It's been a longtime since I bought my headers but less time since the y-pipe. I can't recall if my headers were Hedman or Summit brand but the y-pipe is by Flowtech. If you look through Summit's stuff they have several and can tell you the differences between them.

The only thing I can tell you that I had that was a problem was with the bigger thicker aftermarket y-pipe, I had some fittment problems with the cat' and intermediate when it came to the transmission hanger. If I remember correctly I think I had to mod' the hanger somewhat to be able to use that location to hang the cat' from. I just used a couple jacks to kinda push up and slightly bend the pipes to where they were acceptible but I'm not smacking them on speed bumps or anything and my car is lowered so that means I did something right.

Though pricey, the following is a direct-fit three-inch system: Hooker 2055's (Jeg's 520-2055). Catco high-flow converter (Summit CTO-9118). Hooker catback (Summit HOK-16823HKR). No clearance issues with the above.

No problem using the OE cat-hanger:

Cool man. Hopefully we gave JR350TPI some good direction.

I remember now. It was your post I had used to redo this. I found a good tranny hanger at the junkyard, put the hanger on a vice and drilled out the rivet. I also drilled a new hole much farther back then the original to mount the rubber hanger farther back to be able to hold the pipe without squishing the hanger.

On the money (cheaper because you won't end up purchasing twice--once to simply have headers, once to replace those with what you should have bought the first time. Ask me how I know ).

Totally. DIOADIR = Do It Once And Do It Right!!!! This way you won't have to do it again.

I have owned my car for fifteen years now and it's taken me fourteen of them to get it right being a cheap bastard. Don't do it. Save your money and buy the right stuff and you can spend more time cruisin' and less time wrenchin'.
