Re: How many people are running Long Tube headers?

ground clearance will be low low..
my LT's with a custom Y 2.5" y pipe at the lowest point is 1.7" off the ground. and that lowest point is tucked up as well as it can without having rattling problems.

Re: How many people are running Long Tube headers?

His car must be lowered. I am at stock ride height, and I have duals with my long tubes and I have NEVER scraped the ground, at all. With the right manual transmission, or if I could just raise the transmission crossmember on the passenger side, I could probably gain at least 1" more of ground clearance. 1.7" seems really bad... now I want to measure my ground clearance.

Ok i know its tight and not the best for lowered camaros but i think it will be fine if you take it real slow over speed bumps and stuff.

Re: How many people are running Long Tube headers?

i have sportlines and the front spring spacers are gone.
driving is fine, i cant take speed bumps at all, and i have to be careful on rough roads, but besides that its ok, oh, this isnt a daily driver by any means (see sig) so I dont mind it so much.

Re: How many people are running Long Tube headers?

I have a set and speed bumps are a pain. i would say somewhere around 3"-4" of clearance

Re: How many people are running Long Tube headers?

im running hedman 1-5/8" long tubes setup

they actually fit really well for long tubes...they dont hang too low either

i will be switching back to my hedman shorties as soon as my part car sells

Re: How many people are running Long Tube headers?

Toyota h8r, why would you put short tube headers on if the long tube headers fit so well?

the exhaust on my parts car is 100% brand new lol.....

my friend GAVE me a whole exhaust setup consisting of hedman long tubes with "custom" y-pipe to a flowmaster 80 series muffler. its all 3" and massive 4" chrome tips...which looks HORRIBLE on a 91 trans am

i love my edlebrock setup on my parts car....the fit and finish of hedman headers and the catback from edlebrock is the best IMHO.

it uses a slash tip design that hides under the car.....like stock setups did

Re: How many people are running Long Tube headers?

im putting mine on next weekend hopefully, hedman longtubes. im at stock height,or maybe little higher since ive removed bout 80 pounds from under the hood.

im running LTs to 2.5in xpipe to turbo mufflers with turndowns before the axle....same setup my friend has on his 01 T/A....well aside from him having a 3in xpipe and a 3in drop.

I have this setup as well. single 4" all the way back from them, 1.5" lowest clearance for me. Car's lowered, cut the coils a bit.
