Trying to locate a muffler/pls help
I have the flowmaster 3inch cat back, i sold the muffler because i hate flowmasters. Am looking for a single in single out. Cant seem to find one that looks like a stock muffler routing. Only thing i can think of is this
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MPE-14419/?rtype=10 which am not positive it will work. Any help is appreciated.
Someone posted a similiar question on another post but noone really came up with an answer. If i cant go with a magnaflow then i would need something with the same performance. Please dont even mention flowmasters, its not an option :P
Single stock looking tip is my goal

Re: Trying to locate a muffler/pls help
Stock was a single-in, dual-out on these cars. That's why you can't find a stock single-in/out.
That muffler you linked will work, if you can make your own tailpipe and hangers. Just mount it sideways under the rear, behind the gas tank.

Re: Trying to locate a muffler/pls help
You could always go with true duals?
As for the wider oval-shaped mufflers, there aren't a lot of performance ones out there. You could try Thrush, Dynomax, or Cherry Bomb. They all make that shape muffler in a single-in/out configuration that should fit.
I don't think Magnaflow does though.

Re: Trying to locate a muffler/pls help
Noone makes a muffler like flowmaster with 1 in 1 out though? Not keen on the oval shape either lol
What about if I plug a hole on the dual outlets? Will that mess if flow of the muffler? Cherry bombs is out of the question. I need to tame the exhaust note alottle without damaging performance

Any known good performace mufflers with this design? Again, not out for the noise, rather best performing single outlet.
Worst comes to worse ill have to buy the dual outlets if not, but trying my hardest to not go that route.
True duals is out of the question. Am running a 700r4, i would have went with custom true dual if i went the t-56 route, but didnt unfortunatly and need to work with what i got. Mufflex only has 4inch inlets on there mufflers right? so am sure thats out of the question too, but thats pretty much what am looking for with style wise

Re: Trying to locate a muffler/pls help
When I suggested Cherry Bombs, I wasn't referring to their glasspacks. They make a muffler just like that Flowmaster one you linked in the last post.

Re: Trying to locate a muffler/pls help
You think the cherry bomb or hooker muffler performs. As well as the magnaflow. Or am I stuck with dual outlets? Like I mentioned with my cam am trying to tame the exhaust without losing performance. Cherry bomb am receding to the silver one

Re: Trying to locate a muffler/pls help
what's up guys? i have a 3 inch magnaflow on my car with single in single out offset on both sides. bolts up to the over axle pipe with no problems. looks nice to...polished stainless steel. i called mufflex perf. in jersey and they made me a hide-a-way tailpipe for $53.70 shipped. i got the muffler from automotive concepts in pennsylvania for about $86 shipped. their part number for the muffler is #14239. you might have to elongate the d side tailpipe tab where the bolt goes through to mount it. other than that it fits and looks perfect. sorry i don't have any pictures yet but trust me..it will work.

Ha, while you were typing that i was on jegs. Before i even thought about looking at jegs mufflers i asked here. Seems Jegs has alot more selection then summit.
Now its a toss up... what you mentioned
http://www.jegs.com/i/Magnaflow/642/14239/10002/-1
or a dynomax ultra-flo SS
http://www.jegs.com/p/Dynomax/Dynoma...44882/10002/-1
If i could only find a flow chart
