Got the long tubes done with slip fit collecters got to weld a tab to make sure they dont fall off they are 1&3/4 to 1%7/8 to2in to 3 in to 3 in y pipe to single over the axle then strait piped to four out let tip kina like the slp ones they sell might even be a old one like on the fourth gen ss will post pics asap when i get home and more idle vids started it up past night with the y pipe and open pipe sounds like a high end exotic super super mean makes your ears ring gotta love a sbc tpi

they look low. hows your ground clearance?

 

have not got it on the ground yet but it is tucked up there trust me

 

How do you figure? They still hang at least 2" lower than the front frame rails. The collectors look nice though.

Here is mine. I modified my framerails and trans crossmember to make a 3 Ypipe fit. excuse the crapy Ypipe was done as a pattern to see if I liked it but have never made it out of stainless... yet. It will be waaay nicer next go around.

 

just some shorties. everytime i ran long tubes, they bottomed out. these cars are definetly a challenge to do a nice exhaust.

 

looking good surprized to see shortys but they do got ground clearance but im after performance plus all the parts igot never paid a dime for so as for a on a budget this can not get any better almost done with mine got header wrap last night dei ti wrap only 20 buck for a roll of 2in/15ft and picked up high temp bbq paint 1500deg should help keep engine bay temps down goin to try to finish tonight last night my sawzall took a dump gonna go get a new one to day i will post more pics of completed exhaust asap and more sound & ide vids gotta finish over the axle and i got some super sick tips too top it all off u will see saveing that for last maybe i will take some pics just so every one can drooll over them hard to find well worth it .cant wait to see yours done also keep up the good work.

lookin good! i went with header wrap too to get the under hood temps down. i bought a kit from jegs or summit for about $80.oo. it was 2 inch X 50 foot, 2 rolls & silicone spray. it was enough to wrap both headers & up to the mufflers. big difference.

 

got some more work done goin to install eveything now then finish the tips then i will post a video and show how it looks and sounds after im all done
