So exactly wat the title says...does hooker make any other y pipe besides
this one? seems to be the only one i see everywhere..

 

That is the 3" to 2.5" y-pipe with cat delete. The Hooker 2055's come with a 3" in/out y-pipe. If you want one, call Hooker and tell them you hit a bump and dented it the day you installed it and need a replacement y-pipe. I called them a year ago and they said they could do it when I was ready, but for me, I was just testing waters to see if they would sell the y-pipe alone. Since it can't be purchased separate like the y-pipe above. Here it is. They make one coated as well, but I figure everyone coats their own exhaust.

you think i could just try callling summit and ask for just the y pipe? instead of the whole package..dont see why that would be a problem. thanks for the answer though

 

Sure. They're always ready to help. They may have a scratch and dent sale on one too (love those sales). I called Magnaflow because I originally wanted the headers that fit the y-pipe in the original post (because they came without air tubes), but to mate it with the 2055 full 3" y-pipe. But the work involved in it (since one is ball and socket and the other flat flange) was more than just having the tubes cut off the 2055 set and then having them coated. Let me know what you decide. Wouldn't want to leave this thread open.

I just hate when people leave threads open. Like if you never came back to say what y-pipe you got and how you got it, that'd be open. So I just ask you fill us in with what y-pipe you end up going with, where you got it and/or what you needed to do to get it and install it.

 

o yea..ill do that when the time comes and i have everything. i just needed some input before i go spending money and get the wrong stuff. thanks. hopefully very soon though

 

The y for the 2055 will NOT work with the 2460 headers (im assuming thats what you have since that is what the y above is for). The 2460s have a three bolt flat flange while the 2055's have a ball and socket style flange.

Your best bet is probably have a competent exhaust shop make you a custom y pipe. Ive heard enough about the y-pipe for the 2460's being a pile of overpriced junk to keep me from buying one. I almost had a set of 2460's though and was going to go the custom y-pipe route myself but i got outbid.

 

oo it wouldnt fit.. : ( i guess thats why the only one i ever see it the cat delete one and not the normal y pipe. thanks for the input. and yea, im referring to the 2460's..i guess i shouldve explained that in the post.
