Hey everybody! Back in October I got a whole new exhaust from the manifolds back. I have no cats and 2.5 inch pipe, and also have a Magnaflow muffler. Now months later, I want a different one, it's not loud or aggressive enough as what I'd like. I've searched around and found a couple mufflers I thought would sound good. I like the Cherry Bomb Extreme and Vortex. Does anybody run any of these? Any thoughts and opinions are appreciated!

Damnit. I have a Flowmaster 80 and really want something a little more subtle compared to the rumble and roar that's currently there.

how much $ can you spend? If you have some money to play with gmmg. Or build your own gmmg with parts from summit search under power sticks. If your on a budget I'd go hooker aero chamber. Both systems are great.
Well the Magnaflow is way to quiet. I'm looking for something more loud and aggressive.

Your car sounds pretty dang good! I used to have a Silverado with loud exhaust, and since I've sold it I've been trying to get the sound back.Originally Posted by Cadillac

Hey man I had the same problem you had....Honestly look into a Flowmaster 40 seires muffler....only downfall is that its a single inlet and single outlet muffler but it has a deep idle and an aggressive takeoff...I recommend it...I was gona go with a flowmaster 10 but then decided to go with the 40 because heard that the 10 had a lot of interior noise.
Do you have a sound clip or something like that?

It does sound pretty good. Do you have manifolds or headers? Also do you have a 350 or 305? Cats or no?Originally Posted by calgutie

I've gotten several compliments on my Thrush V-Force, It's not as loud as flowmaster super 40's, but I can't hear my radio on the highway, system is a 3" single catback, stock manifolds. It does have a REALLY nice roar when you get on it at about 3k and up.

Ive seen some of the trush muffler on our cars and personally I am not to big of a fan of them just b/c they do on sound as aggressive as I want them to sound but thats just my opinion. If this guy wants something aggressive sounding and loud, I say go with 40...If he wants eve louder ide even say go with a flowaster 10 (single chamber)

just take the muffler off and route a piece of pipe with a turndown if you want loud and aggressive.
i would stay away from the hooker aerochamber if you want loud, i have one on my car, it sounds great, but its not super loud.
if you don't wan't full on destroyer straight pipes, try a dynomax bullet, it will be a lot cheaper than the other options and give you a loud deep tone.
