Best headers...

Getting a 350 vortec crate, 351 hp, 400tq and am looking for some opinions on the best shorty headers to get for it. Will be upgrading the exhaust to dual 3".... If that matters.

Best is subjective, but Hooker, Hedman etc make good shorties, Dyno Don has a significant following on this site and I believe for good reason.

Re: Best headers...

Are we talking three inch duals all the way back? Or a three inch catback to a muffler with dual outlets? I was in a similar situation some years ago. Most recommended Hooker, but smart guy that I am, I bought an Edelbrock TES setup. Big mistake. They no longer make exhaust, my y pipe is about shot, not available. I'd sure suggest a good name exhaust, such as Hooker for whatever your looking for. Dual three inch pipes would sure be overkill for that machine I'd think, (smart guy that I am.)

Re: Best headers...

No I'm actually about to order the magnaflow 3". Cat back to muffler. Part #16829. Also going to get a 3" Y and a cat delete. Really wanted to get the Borla. Sounded really good bit pretty pricey. The magnaflow sounds really good and I found an alright price. Still got to pick out some headers but I still have 4 or 5 weeks till the engine gets here. Suggestions?
