Re: Glasspacks
What size is your current exhaust?
For your 260HP engine that is probably not running right due to carb issues a single 2.5 would probably work.

Re: Glasspacks
There ok sound better then straight pipes ,but I want the exhaust to come out the back, so I was thinking of getting two pipes and a 4 chamber or 4outlet muffler and sticking it right underneath a lot of people do the glasspack with flowmaster it would sound great too I bet or just get two long pipes and have the exhaust come out back no flowmeter.but my mechanic.said there'd be clearance issues but if I jack up the back I don't think I will any ideas?

Looks fairly decent. Careful if you have to deal with salt. Those rust out easy. I personally would paint them black so they blend in and make the tips pop.
I am sure it sounds better, never liked straight pipes on just about anything.
Personally I would save up, get a custom Y pipe made and use a factory replacement 3" catback.

Edit:
Also take the stickers off them before paint.

Re: Glasspacks
I have a 2.25" true dual exhaust on my camaro with a pair of glasspacks mounted sideways under the rear bumper.vthe tips come out the back in the same position as the stock cross flow muffler. Sounds great, and I have no problems jacking up the rear from the differential. You can't see the glasspacks just standing behind the car.

If so I'd recommend swapping it out for a different breather altogether. Those do a couple of things that are bad:
1. they can act like a wick and soak up fuel (so one backfire through the carb and you become a candle)
2. if and when you backfire through the carb and scorch the underside of the foam it gets charred and gets sucked into the engine
Both are bad, and both are avoidable if you get a different air cleaner, even one with just a paper filter.
