Mufflers
I just got a flowmaster 80 series dual outlet muffler today and I am extremely impressed! If you are looking for a great muffler this one is it!

Cool congrats. ..got any pics and sound clips? I'm looking to replace my stock muffler with some thing on my 88 iroc-z 305 for some more sound the stock muffler is way to quiet. Thanks

I also plan on getting headers down the road. But trust me it sounds much much better than the stock exhaust. I would suggest true dual exhaust if you had the money for it.

Looking forward to hearing it! What did that set up cost you if you don't mind me asking? I am guessing your running the stock stigle pipe from the cat back? What size pipes are those? I like the tips also what kind are they?

Oh yeah that looks nice! I am not sure I can do a true dual exhaust, due to California emissions...?

For you, you need to get Dyno Dons headers and a Magnaflow cat-back system. We in SoCal can put you on the right track. Don just took off his Magnaflow muffler because he is installing a different Magnaflow muffler on his car. Check with him. He goes by Dyno Don on the SoCal board.

The It was $450 for the muffler, two tail pipes, two tips, and the exhaust pipe from the cat to the muffler, so no it isn't the stock pipe. When I got the car the muffler had fallen off somehow and the only thing left was the pipe from the cat but it was cut in half so that had to be replaced. I believe the pipes are 2.5 inches in diameter. And I have no idea what kind of tips they are I just had a selection to choose from from the place I went to get it done. Also installation came with it.

Looks really good.
I would definitely find out what size the intermediate pipe is . Its possible he used 3in. to the muffler and 2.5in tail pipes.

I'm going with a bigger set up. I'm changing my cat-back 3in exhaust system with Hooker Maximum flow to a 3.5 cat-back system with a Magnaflow Muffler. Just hold off til early part of January. You can buy my set up for cheap. Go to my Dyno video to hear how it sounds on my car. But remember I have a built engine. It will be a little more tamed on your car. The video is in the SoCal board.

That was a 439 hp , 399lbs of torque run with a 388 stroker correct .
