CODE 32 causing high temps
Hello all,
i have a ‘90 305 TBI that I have owned since Nov 2018. The car is stock except for an open element filter and Flowmaster cat-back (neither installs by me). I recently moved out of town and have a ~20min commute that is 45-55 mph. I am noticing that the car runs warm 210-220 after driving for about 15 min when it is anything hotter than 75 out. With it being 90 the last few days I have seen temps starting to reach 230 by the end of the drive.
I have also started getting a code 32, which I found is an EGR issue. It seems the temp goes up when the SES light comes on with that code. Can these two be related? I’m not running AC during this since it doesn’t blow cold normally. Any thoughts are appreciated. A search only yielded that what a code 32 is and I got no response in the cooling forum.
