Probably be loud. The can look cool on old muscle cars, but I don't know about the more modernish sports car look of a thirdgen.

Depending on how strict the vehicle inspection is in the State you live in , you may not get an inspection sticker with them . Where I live the exhaust has to exit the car in the factory location , and sidepipes will get a fail on any car whose exhaust is supposed to be coming out at the rear bumper ...

I didnt plan on having them stick out the car like in the movie but up under the car to where the tip of the exhaust sticks out

I have a set of side exits sort of like you describe. 3" stainless elbows poking out each side under the torque boxes. Looks and sounds pretty sweet, especially with the Flex couplings and loose exhaust hangars that let it jiggle around at idle.

Re: Opinions on mad max side pipes?

EEeeeewwwwwww.

Just… no.

That's what used to be called "lakes pipes"; "lakes" as in, dry lakes in southern California that the crowd out there used to take cars to back in the flathead Frod days, for top-speed runs.

Besides being a total nightmare in terms of functionality for anything resembling a daily driver, the look TOTALLY mismatches our cars. It would be as bad an anachronism as taking a bone-stock 54 Chevy complete with faded copper-oxide-green paint, and putting "blade" wheels on it; or maybe, putting "baby moons" and 14" "wide ovals" on a 2019 car. Cars newer than early 60s with those on them look about like the space aliens were hovering their beam ship above the car and a piece fell off of it and got stuck. :vomit: Completely foreign, mismatched, out of place, oddball.

Please don't.

Post a picture or two, let people see what you did. Like you have already experienced, some might like it while others may not. What is most important is that YOU like them.
