Dynomax vs. Hooker

From people that own either of these cat-backs, which one has a deeper sound, and which is better for performance?

I believe the Dynomax outflows Hooker, but I could be wrong. I have a sound clip in my sig.

i just installed the hooker cat-back this weekend. i put it behind a pair of shorty hedmans and a y-pipe minus the cat. the system comes with an aero-chamber muffler. it installed easily and i like the sound, but i ve been listening to just the shorties for about a month now.

I just installed my Hooker cat-back too. My car is a bone stock LO3 and all I can say is WOW. It sounds deep and a kinda raspy, very cool. Plus my car seems to have more low-end torque. It may be in my head but all I know is I spin the tires all the time now.

I don't know how a Dynomax sounds on a thirdGen, but I had one on my Safari Wagon, and it sounded about like a stock ThirdGen (with a 12-foot I pipe)

The Hooker I have on the T/A is really wicked. there is a nice low burble at idle, but it really sceams when you get on it. More Roar, Less Boom than a Flow. It is also as quiet as stock when you're cruising at 70 on the highway.

I have the Dynomax SuperTurbo muffler with dual outlits.
I have a stock L03 Firebird.

At WOT you can hear me a block away. sounds really mean when reving high. I wish I had the Hooker muffler to see the difference. The catback I have is a 2.5" mandrel bent pipes. It is not loud by any means but you could hear the bassy sound and rumble at idle.

!What he said.

Mine's about a yr. old now, and if the car's running in my driveway, and I'm in the house, all you hear is a constant low bass sound. It sounds mean. I like

Just got my new engine running with my hooker system, and I love it even more. It sounded good behind my 305, but it sounds wicked as all he11 with the new motor. Great idle and turns heads as soon as you touch the gas.
