Yep, even the low-performance engine ones do, they just neck down for the wimpy little cat. BTW, my I-pipe needed to be flattened a little so the pass side tail-pipe would go in, not sure if anybody else had this little problem, and the I-pipe seems to hang a little low, but thats probably 'cuz its nearly double the size of the old one. Anyway, I'm glad I didn't by a Blowmaster, my car is the only one in town with this system, and it sounds awesome. Plus those big quad tips seem to draw some attention sticking out back behind a 3rd gen .

Mine hangs low too, but for some reason I make it over speed bumps now without bottoming out. And the quad tips look awesome. I was the first in the county that I know of that has this cat-back, there is one other the guy actually posts on these boards (not often though).

i got the cat-back for the tpi, eventhough, my car was originally the 305 non HO. the intermediate pipe is 3in the whole way and does not size down for the cat. which is good because i don t have one.

iv been trying to figure out what cat back to get. iv seen the hooker, but havent heard much bout it. i was thinkin bout a flowmaster cat back.. its all gonna be straped on a 84 TA with a 355 with SLP emissions headers...any opinions?? what flows better, sounds better, and looks better... and the most important..casts less!?

Exactly. If you want sound clips search for a post Hooker vs. Flowmaster. Or just check my sign. to see if you like the sound of mine.

The car definately pulled a lot harder. That rattling is the heat flange on the headers. I had it to where it wouldn't rattle, but since it wasn't welded I guess at high rpms it starts to rattle. Annoying and embarassing. I'll get it fixed one of these days.
