Long tube headers and exhaust
Long tube headers and exhaust
Hello I知 looking for a fabricator to make a set of long tube step headers and an exhaust for my 1991 Camaro build. I live in South Western Pennsylvania. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you can't find a shop that will make a custom set-up for you, you may have to piece together some off the shelf systems and have a regular exhaust shop help you out. I'd have to search to see what long tube headers are available for our cars with the SBC.

Just an FYI on what to expect - with longtubes your collector on the driver side is going to be right at the slave cylinder. If you go the custom route you can have that shifted to make life easier, but if not you'll just want to be careful bolting things up and get some heat shield in there. Nothing wrong with pre-made ones (if you can find them) just good to know what to expect going in.
Re: Long tube headers and exhaust
Hello and thanks for the replies, I have located a shop that will build the headers and exhaust system within 2 hours of my location. The job is a little pricey but the result will be what I知 looking for in the development of this car.

ANY custom-fabbed long tube setup is going to cost some $$, especially if it's a good design/build. Hopefully, your builder doesn't flake out on you. I've had a couple do that already, for just a very simple exhaust build.
