hooker cat-back made my car slower :(
I put on a hooker cat-back a few days ago and my car feel's a lot slower. Especially at high speeds when I floor it, it accelerates very slowly. It sounds really really nice though. Has anyone else felt this with the hooker cat-back?

When I had gotten my 3:73s in that actually slowed my car down, cause it doesn't match my cam. The next day I had the cat back installed and I definately noticed a power increase more so than the gears. I don't see how it could slow you down.

Well it either #1) Mark promotes a crappy product (LOL j/k Buddy
)
Or #2) Maybe you expected a huge gain from it so you expected something better?

If your car has stock eprom and you haven't played with fuel pressure I bet you're running lean. Running lean after uncorking the exhaust like you did could make the car feel slower. In reality you COULD be making more power if you were to play with the fuel pressure. You're probably not any slower than befire, just not any faster! Don't forget that a loud sounding exhaust is misleading as far as power is conserned.

I didn't really notice any change. I didn't have any other modifications though. Since you have headers, I'd say you might be running a little lean now.
