If you mean cut outs, ZBLKHELLRAISER (something like that) from CZ.C was talking about a set he had on his 4th gen a while back.

I hear the electric kind aren't that good. I had bought the cable operated kind, but it has some downfalls. Only fits up to 2 1/4 piping and has to be brazed on.

I had the electronic flange from empire motorsports on my car for about a week - it totally sucked. I mounted a switch where, if the car had fog lamps was, and all you would have to do is turn the switch right? First problem was it wasnt powerfull enough to turn it and open it when the car was running so I would have to get a stick and poke it to open it. Then at WOT the exhuast would push it and close it shut, so it was just a really pointless product.

I was thinking about the manual cable kind, but f*** it I just drive around with it open, less hassle.

I've been thinking about trying to make an electronic one, since I have access to a machine shop at school and pro/E for designing stuff. I was thinking of using a door lock solinoid instead of a electric motor, something similar to a single blade throttle body, but I don't know the down falls of having a solinoid like that stay open for long periods of time or if a cheap one is strong enough(works for N20 though). It'll probably be a few weeks at least before I get anything somewhat serious though, due to a lot of school work.

You could probably actually come up with a dual solenoid setup, one to open and one to close the bypass, that way it wouldn't be sitting there drawing power the whole time it was open. That'd be a fun project to work on but I don't have the time or resources these days.
