I wouldn't, but that's just my opinion. Generally I don't like the sound since they really 'rap' out very loud and remind me of a hillbilly farm truck. But if ya' do, a soundclip could change my mind.

They sound pretty good.
I had true dual on my '84 Z and at first they sounded like junk but after they got broken in they rapped real sweet. But I had homemade true 2 1/2" exhaust with 2 glasspacks. I don't know what a single would sound like. If you do it get a recording and let me hear it.
Good Luck.

If you check on the home page under sound clips or something, I believe there is one with glasspacks, sounds awesome, actually, but I forget what his setup was.
Sounds pretty good, but I have dual sidepipes with 24" glasspacks. It is very loud at W.O.T. and I like it, most of my buddies think it sounds pretty good. It does sound kind of like a hillbilly farm truck at idle if you don't have decent duration in your cam though.

So maybe glass packs are for trucks. But here are some other this that are for trucks (only came in trucks) 4 bolt 400's, 454's after 1970, 4.3 turbo charged syclone engines, Turbo 400 auto trannys after 1970. Car performance may have taken a dive in after 1970 but the availablity of high proformance parts lived on in the truck.
So no more bad mouthing trucks.

Glasspacks aren't only for trucks, well maybe 12" glasspacks. The amount of noise and crackle comes from placement in the exhaust pipe, the closer to the tip they are the quieter they are. I have them on my car and they sound fine, no crackle or pop at any r.p.m. If you put the glasspack on close to the manifold and far from the tips of the exhuast, which is common on pickups, then you will get the crackle and pop.

What's the big deal with everyone thinking that a glass pack is for a truck. Glasspacks are cheap high performance low resiction exhaust. Dollar for dollar the best thing out there. And enough with the truck=slow theory. The new Chevy's with the 5.3L in them are pretty freakin' fast and powerful. Not to mention the syclone's and 454 SS's.
I hear one more bad thing about trucks I bring my S-10 out and then you can hear how crappy glass packs sound when I blow by you on the street.

Nobody is bad mouthing trucks. I used to own a truck so I know the potential a truck has to be fast. We are just merely stating that glasspacks sound better on a truck rather than a performance car.

Ever since I heard them on a 2nd gen camaro I've not been too wild about them... in a sound clip it may sound mean, but when you're outside of a car with 'em (especially with them right after the header) it's downright nauseating... literally. This guy was in the Autozone parking lot and he started up @ WOT and it must have been 150 dB (same level as a train whistle)
Maybe my ears hurt because my hearing is too good from years of not listening to my walkman/discman @ WOT
I can't justify deafening pedestrians and home owners...
